Our friend and mentor, Mark Aspery will lead you through the basics of what you need to know to really blacksmith. From safety and drawing a taper through tool making, including heat treating. You’ll achieve your first forge weld. Burns, blisters and sweat are a given in this class but you will learn a lot and have some fun. The curriculum will be taken from Mark’s book Mastering the Fundamentals of Blacksmithing.

We will usually take about an hour break for lunch so bring your own sack lunch or money for a nearby dive.
